Everyone in KIDVILLE from age 1 month- grade 6 should check in before service. Parents or guardians should sign their children in. Check-in is open 15 minutes before each service.
Where: You should see our check-in station in the hall, below a big "SIGN IN HERE" sign, where someone can assist you or get you set up if you are new. On subsequent visits, you can SELF check-in on computers in the lobby or the hall, using your key tag, or the last 4 digits of your phone number. Take your printout, place your child(ren)'s name tag on their front or back, then send or take your kids to class. Grade 5 and 6 kids, a.k.a. Jr. Drive, will join their parents in the main service for music, then head to their class in the portable during the teaching time. Be sure to alert check-in attendant about any allergies or special needs- they will print on your child's sticker.
Check-out: Keep your number sticker from check-in, that matches your child's name + number sticker. Only those with stickers, staff, or visitor lanyards are allowed back in the Kidville area during service. The check-in attendant will be on duty. Any family member or friend with the sticker can pick up at each child's classroom, and match the number sticker with the child's sticker on the teacher's clipboard."

Growing in a smaller setting. Wednesday nights allow kids and their friends to connect together, by having fun and learning to grow in their relationship with Jesus:

Toddlers are warmly received in a big room stocked with toys, books, music- everything needed to keep them busy! Goldfish crackers + story time is usually a hit, too (be sure to alert check-in staff of any allergies). Hand your child to Kidville staff through the half door, or come in and get them settled. Relax in service knowing that if you are needed, you will see your child's number come up on screen. Please keep your check-in sticker for pick-up after service.

Preschoolers Age 3 + Jr. & Sr. Kindergarten
Preschoolers and Kinders have a great time at Southgate! They get to come out to the big portable with the older kids and play. They join the worship time with fun music and actions, before heading to their classroom which is also in the portable. They have a lesson on a Bible story that points to how God made us, God loves us, and Jesus wants to be our friend forever! It may include a puppet show, video clip, activities and more. They finish with lesson activities and free play time. Take home the "Fridge Fun" sheet to review and apply what your child has learned. Please keep your check-in sticker for pick up in the portable after the service.
We follow Plan to Protect for security and washroom guidelines.
Out in the portable, E-Streeters have tons of space to play, sing, dance, learn, do crazy fun activities, and be themselves! We use Orange's 252 Basics ™ curriculum, which is current, funny, relatable, and has tons of great resources. Each month we have a theme and LifeApp- a different virtue based on God's truths that we can apply to our lives. Everything comes back to our 3 Basics, based on Luke 2:52:
1. I can trust God no matter what,
2. I need to make the wise choice,
3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Find out all the details of THIS MONTH'S theme at studio252.tv. You'll find videos, activities, ParentCue's, GodTime cards (a way to follow up with God at home), and more! We always encourage parents to engage with what their kids are learning, because together we will have a greater impact.
The older kids come out to their class in the portable AFTER music in the auditorium and chill on the couches. They also follow the 252Basics themes and 3 basics (see E-Street) with a video, deeper discussion with their teacher, activities, and bonding as friends. Check out studio252.tv at home. We love seeing some Jr. Drives help out with the younger kids in Kidville sometimes, too! See Lindsay if interested.
If you're looking for a way to plug in at Southgate, you like kids and volunteering, there are a variety of ways to inspire kids and serve kids along with their families. All of our KIDVILLE Volunteers are asked to submit a current vulnerable sector check before they start serving.
